Founder and Director Jack is currently in his final year of studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh. Originally from Northern Ireland, Jack has has been tutoring for over 7 years and is proud to lead Scope’s talented team across Scotland. Also acting as the Scottish Director of Applican - a company that delivers a low-priced course that prepares students for university medicine applications - Jack enjoys teaching and helping other students. As well as managing the team, Jack is Scope's expert tutor in English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Outside his own academic study and tutoring, Jack spends his time travelling the world and competing for his University 1XI hockey team.

Erin is in her fourth year of studying medicine and is interested in emergency medicine so far in her medical studies. Growing up in Scotland, Erin is familiar with the education system here and has excelled in her own academic studies - winning the Stellar Award twice from West Lothian Council for highest attaining student in the authority. She will be tutoring with Scope in Maths, Human Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Philosophy. Outside her university studies, Erin is a competitive swimmer and teaches swimming in her spare time. Erin is also one of Scope’s expert UKCAT tutors.

Munira is currently in her third year of medicine at the University of Edinburgh. Munira loves to teach, having worked with students throughout her school life and university. She wishes to specialise in special needs Paediatrics in the future, having worked with children with special needs since she was 14. Outside of medicine, Munira has a passion for public speaking, having debated nationally, and has taken this onwards to work with Medic Mentor. At her most recent event, she spoke to a large group of school aged children at the University of Stirling. Anna is currently in her second year of studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh. Born in Glasgow, Anna was raised bilingual thanks to her Italian mother. Anna has been tutoring for several years, including daily morning literacy lessons for a pupil with dyslexia and lunchtime Chemistry supported study during secondary school, and for the past year she has been tutoring maths in Edinburgh. Outwith medicine Anna loves spending time with her 5 flatmates and painting. Anna is also a passionate violin and piano player. Outside of medicine, Alex is a hobbyist writer with a keen interest in poetry and literature. This translated academically into a 100% result in Higher Classical Studies (studied independently over 1 year) and into being used as an example for SQA markers as the author of a full-mark English folio essay. With years of experience as a debate coach, Alex aspires to teach and is in the process of founding a medical peer education society.

Joanna is currently in her third year of studying medicine at the University of Edinburgh taking a year to study Medicine and Literature. David is currently in his third year of studying Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow. Having tutored for 5 years in London, Dubai, Dundee, and now Glasgow, David has gained a diverse teaching skillset that accommodates many learning styles. He has experience in leading revision classes for groups of students aged 14-20 and helping university lecturers in second year Mathematics revision classes. David has ambitions of becoming a research scientist and a professor of pure mathematics and mathematical statistics. Passionate about art as well as mathematics and teaching, David enjoys attending conferences and has been commissioned to produce a number of fine art pieces. One of David's proudest achievements was being selected as one of Scotland's top Advanced Higher Art students, and having his work displayed in a gallery.
Pamela is a friendly and enthusiastic student at the University of Glasgow, currently in her third year of studying Mathematics. With experience working as a Science Communicator at Edinburgh International Science Festival, and having spent four years as a Cub Scout Young Leader, Pamela knows what it takes to make science engaging and inspiring. Pamela is also eager to share her passion for the German language, having just returned from a year studying Maths and Physics on Erasmus+ Exchange in Mainz, Germany. Anushka is currently in her 3rd year of medical school at the University of Edinburgh, and this year is taking time to gain a second degree in Neuroscience before returning to medicine. In the future Zubin is hoping to become a science teacher in a secondary school. He is excited to be the newest member of the Scope team in the new role of financial director. Outside of this role, Zubin is also passionate about hockey: playing for a men’s team, coaching a women’s team and will oversee their finances, in the role of treasurer, over the course of the year.
Becca is currently in her 3rd year studying English Literature at the University of Glasgow. Having just returned from a year teaching English in France, Becca is keen to continue to use the skills she learned through her tutoring with scope. In her free time, Becca enjoys both reading and writing as well as playing piano and going to the gym. Cian is currently in his fourth year studying Medicine at the University of Edinburgh, having taken an opportunity in third year to study for a BMedSci in Anaesthetics, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine. Originally from Northern Ireland, Cian has spent much of his academic life tutoring; beginning by mentoring younger students individually with physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics while still in college. He now leads the academic and clinical skills tutorials programme of the Royal Medical Society of Edinburgh. In the future Cian hopes to enter a critical care position, while maintaining research links with the University of Edinburgh. Outside of academia, Cian is an avid rower-turned-cyclist, guitarist, and enjoys building and working with computers.

Raisa is a very friendly and approachable third year Mechanical Engineering student Heriot-Watt University, with lots of experience in working with high school students. Previously, she studied two years of general engineering followed by another two years of specialisation in honours level chemical engineering at the University of Aberdeen. During her time at Aberdeen, she has been thoroughly involved with community work and societies. Raisa was the industrial liaison officer for the Engineering Society where she organised several talks and networking events to help other students gain internships and graduate jobs. She was also one of the founding members of a brand new society – Women in Science and Engineering – which turned out to have many successful events. Raisa particularly enjoyed the events that involved carrying out technical activities with teenagers. She loves travelling, photography, lifting weights, fine dining and watching crime series.

Aaron is currently in his second year of studying Biochemistry and Immunology at the University of Strathclyde. Ever since being introduced to cell chemistry, Aaron has developed a passion for molecular and cellular science. Having experienced research in action at the King’s Buildings has inspired Aaron to want to go into the research field after graduation. Aaron’s own personal experience with tutors has allowed him to understand the benefits gained with one to one tuition. The natural world is a great interest to Aaron and he spends most of his spare time reading books around the subjects of Ecology and Palaeontology.

Outside of university, she is involved with the Help Refugees – Choose Love campaign, volunteering in Calais during the holidays.
